Planes of Expression is a name that numerologists use to describe four basis categories of life experience. The letters of the alphabet are divided into either Physical, Emotional, Mental or Intuitional categories. The Physical letters connect us to the world of the five senses, and the bodily psychology of pleasure and pain. The Emotional letters point to the realm of the feelings, happiness, sorrow, courage and fear and so on. Mental letters have to do with reason, analysis and organization of data. Intuitional letters show flashes of insight or the ability to grasp and deal with abstract concept of what is usually called psychic perception.
The concept is not very different from the use of the Aristotelian elements in the Tarot deck, where Earth (Pentacle) is physical, Water (Cup) is emotional, Air (Sword) is mental and Fire (Wand) is intuitional.
Of course, all people have some degree of all of these elements, but most of us are polarized in one of these planes because of a dominance of a given letter group in the name. Being much like the types of itrancesi described by modern psychological typing models, the Planes of Expression numbers can help in understanding the talents and also a great deal about the relationship style.
