Numerology and Your Freewill

By The Numerologist

Is there anything to numerology when it comes to assigning you with a predetermined fate in life? For instance if you were born an number 7 does it mean that you were somehow doomed to be a loner and an eccentric who is fated to be clumsy emotionally with the opposite sex for the rest of his or her life?

The answer to the question above is "No!"

One of the major benefits of studying this ancient and impure science of numbers is that it is a tool of analysis that can be used to facilitate self-improvement. You can basically use numerology to study your own character and recognize the limits of your own behavior or perception that might be dominating your life.
That means that you should be able to analyze the interpretations that are the result of calculating your numbers and use that information to change your life for the better.

For instance a 7 that realizes that they are crotchety and a loner might make more of an effort to be social by joining Facebook or giving to charities or something. A number 1 that realizes that he or she is arrogant and self-serving might want to reach out and pay more attention to loved ones. An adventuresome number 5 might
want to realize that others find them detached and disinterested and take a little time to really get to know at least one person quite well.

The same principle of "taking the good with the bad and then emphasizing the good" or "working on the thing in your personality that is lacking" also goes for any other type of reading including astrology.

For instance if you were born a Gemini it does not mean that you are doomed to being seen as shallow or unfaithful your entire life. It is merely a big cosmic hint that you might want to work on these issues and focus on being more steady and loyal simply because you were born under the limitations of that astral sign.

You can see that same duality at work when it comes to assessing the quality of personality assigned in numerology. A lot of the numbers in numerology are two-faced in nature meaning that what is
a blessing for many of these numbers is also a curse.

For instance when it comes to the number 3 the number's tendency to relate to a large number of individuals at once is a blessing when it comes to having talents recognized but a curse when it comes to
romance as the 3 often finds themselves in the middle of romantic triangles. Knowing this the 3 can use free will to work on him or herself by curbing the tendency to charm the pants off the opposite
sex, especially if they are already attached to someone special and only turn the charm on when he or she is in front of the cameras or onstage.

So just how does numerology work? Basically, numerology is a tool that analyzes and uses the combinations of the letters in your name and the date on which you were born to give clues as to your character, strengths and weaknesses, natural talents, motivations and life purpose.

Does numerology have any truth to it? The roots of numerology date back thousands of years and variations of it can be found in most cultures throughout history. While many people dismiss it as a pseudo-science, it has been taught and studied by some of the most respected mathematicians throughout history.

Conversely getting a numerology reading can really assist you if you feel you are somehow on the wrong track in life as well. If you get a chart done you can take the information given to you by numerology and use it to help get back on track and move in the direction you were born to take. For instance if you are a 5 who
is forced to work in your fiancée's family restaurant to support a lot of relatives then chances are that you will be very frustrated as that is more suited to the actions of the domestically oriented 6.

Now as mentioned above that's not to say that everything that a numerology reading tells you is set in stone and you HAVE to do things a certain way, but by making simple changes in your life that are more in line with your numerology chart you may be pleased at how everything seems to improve, things fall naturally into
place and you find the happiness you have been seeking.

Straying too far off the path laid out for you by your numbers may have the opposite effect and make life seem difficult or stressful. For instance if you are a spiritual number 9 and you try to act like a ruthless ambitious 1 you may find yourself leading a life of great unhappiness.

The same might go for a 2 that tries to act like the eccentric solo genius - the 7. The 2 will never be able to handle the loneliness of behaving like a 7 or the lack of peer encouragement and approval. Similarly the 7 that tries to act like a 2 may find him or herself very overwhelmed by circumstances.

Used correctly, numerology can help free you from perceived limitations you may have and push you to be the best you can be. At the same time it can help you to know where your weaknesses lie and
alert you to when you are taking your life in the wrong direction.

What you do with numerology depends on you, though, because to make the most of it you must intentionally nurture the positive traits and consciously take steps to recognize and avoid developing the negative traits. This is exactly where the entire notion of free will comes into play and how you can use numerology to help improve your lot in the future.
